My e-cycle has a 3.8 hp motor, 300 amp programble kelly controler, two sla 55 amp hour batterys. Top speed 30 mph.

I installed my volt amp meter and put on a new seat. maybe next week i will tear it down to paint it. If i can quit ridding it.. Thinking about a front suspension fork..

Looks cool - how long did it take you to design and put together? BTW, are you in the US? If so, then bear in mind that you're actually gonna need plates and registration on that thing if you want to be "legal"...

It took me about 3 weeks to build it and probably got another week or so before I tear it down for paint.
I ordered a front suspention fork, so i will have to rework that and add a bracket for the disk brakes.

Wow!, looks like a fun project. What motor is it? an ETEK, PMG, other?

What are the sprocket tooth counts, and where did you get the sprockets, does one of them freewheel?

What the model number of the controller?

Are you happy with the results, or would you change anything if you could?

The wheel is a caset free wheel hub.

So far I am happy with the speed and whole setup it will do 30mph witch is fast enought it only draws about 5-6 amps
at cruise of 20 to 23 mph the motor is hardly working and i weight 215lbs. The controller is a Kelly here is the link. http://www.ekartusa.com/inc/sdetail/579

6A at 30mph with 55Ah batteries? WWWwwwooww. You could go for like over 150 miles with that.

I'm guessing you really crank that motor with a controller that big. How fast does it get up to 30?

That's a very beefy motor. Really neat setup. Have you gotten stopped yet, or do you mostly go offroad?

I mostly been avoiding any major streets I will get it registered when i get it done. the 30 mph is top speed
and the 5 to 6 amp draw is at 20 to 23 mph not the 30 mph.

Added a suspension fork, kick stand, new seat and remounted
the motor -face mounted- the base mount on the motor had slipped, there is only two bolts to the motor 5/16 x 1/2 in long..more pics on my web site www.ivanbennett.com

I went by the DMV in Tucson AZ to find out if i have to register this and what kind of things ie..lights mirrors ect.. I need to drive this on the streets..This scott motor at 24v is rated 1hp.. they told me the rule is anything under 50 cc you DO NOT have to register and can drive it on the streets, they did not have any thing on speed limit...
From what I can find 50cc is about 2.5 to 3 hp. The only thing they did reccomend is I get one of those blinky tail light, head light...
