Newer flat-forums layout

Those of you using the "flat" forums will notice a drastic change. I had some problems with the layout, so I fiddled around and got it to look even more like a PHP-BB style layout.

Recent posts

I hate to sound like I'm whining, and I'm sure you have enough things to keep you busy, but:

when I click on the "Recent" tab, is there any way the name of the most recent poster could appear? (perhaps instead of the thread starter)

When I see the recent list, it would be nice if I could click on something that would take me directly to the most recent post.

Click on "new"

The word "new" in that list is a link which will take you to the most recent post.

As for the other half, I'll look to see if it's possible.

I made a new recent posts tracker

How about: http://visforvoltage.org/tracker2 ??

This one displays a bit more information .. the forum area it was posted in, and the name of the most recent commenter.

Definitely an improvement. Can that be the default when you click the Recent tab?

I really dig that tracker,

I really dig that tracker, the blogs, the html/bb code and other formatting options. The search function needs work though. I enter common words like 'controller' or 'bike' but the engine returns nothing.

Ah....

Uhm.. the search engine relies on an index being built by a background process which I'd forgotten to enable. Thank you for reminding me. It's now enabled.
