My Bad.
Where are they? Maybe the E Bike one should have different questions?
You know I don't know Didley about E Bikes, I just didn't want you E Bikers to feel left out.

Re: What would your ideal E Bike look like?

My ideal e-bike would be the Schwinn Continental e-bike here,

http://www.schwinnbike.com/products/bikes_detail.php?id=888

with a few modifictions:

- 36v instead of 24v
- Twice the battery size so I can have 480Wh of batteries
- Regular chains instead of a shaft drive
- 700c x 25 wheels
- 24-11 rear cogs and 39/53t front chain rings
- Rear wheel torque sensor so it can proportionally tell the front wheel to assist
- disc brakes
- plug in battery for optional HID 12V light
- clipless pedals

The changes above should give me an 80 mile range and the bike should weigh about 40 lbs. With my 20mph regular bike effort, I would expect a top speed of 30mph.
