Remember the Motorcycle with two PMG132's?
Does anyone remember the guy from the old forum who convert a sport bike to electirc using 2 PMG132 motors? He did it while maintaining the dimensions of the original bike, so that the fairings still fit. I'm trying to build an EV, and have some questions for him.
thanks,
M
However there's a guy that lives down the street from me who has a home built thingy that's registered as a motorcycle and driven with two ETEK's.
I took a look in the evalbum and he's not listed but this vehicle has existed for 3+ years. He built it originally for burning man and it has a very strong Road Warrior theme to the vehicle. The front end is from a motorcycle but there's this wide deck/frame he sits on and the batteries are behind him. It's a three wheeler, the rear wheels are regular car tires with one etek per wheel. There's also a large solar panel as a roof.
The thing is registered and everything.

Don't know about 2 PMGs, but Andrew's got twin Eteks on his bike...

I dont recall anyone with 2 perm's at this time. Maybe I missed that thread. But "Versatileman" Doug Martin was able to keep his farings in place and mount a 2 stage (not 2 speed) gearshafts with ETEK under his seat. http://www.austinev.org/evalbum/688 http://www.versatileman.com/id2.html Or Ray Wong was able to install his CVT on his sportbike.
Not sportbike, then there is badfishracing with 2 ETEKS connected via jackshafts. http://www.badfishracing.net . Or Shawn Lawless's ETEKS mounted end-to-end on his sidecar. in the photogallery on http://www.megawattmotorworks.com .
Maybe this info will help you.
