Is anyone interested in an E-max Standard for parts or repair?
Hi all,
I'm selling my E-max Standard. It is lightly damaged due to attempted theft, but, I am told, it's easily repaired.
It's otherwise in very good condition -- in fact, I've hardly ridden it. It has 64 miles on it, the batteries still hold a good charge (at least they did when I rode it last, a couple of months ago). It comes with a trunk and of course with chargers. It ran great for the short amount of time that I did ride it.
A couple of months ago someone tried to steal it and pulled the ignition out of whack and has made it impossible to turn the key in it to start it. I'm pretty sure that's the only problem there is, the would-be thieves' intentions were pretty obvious, they didn't try to do any real damage to it.
I'm selling it exactly because I haven't ridden it much and don't have much use for it. I've been told that the ignition replacement part will probably cost about $80. But I don't want to put more money into something that I hardly use, especially if the company has gone bankrupt and the E-max is basically extinct.
But I wonder if there is someone here who's interested in this bike, for parts or repair.
The catch is that it doesn't run as it is, because of the ignition. So if you want it, you'll have to come get it. (I live in northern Florida.) And you'll have to repair it if you want to use it.
If you're interested, please contact me. I'm not looking to make much of a profit, I know everyone's money has already been sucked away by E-Max. I'm just looking to give this moped to someone who can make some good use out of it.
Thanks,
David

Ah yes, price and location would be nice, wouldn't it? I'm in Gainesville, Florida, and I'm asking $500 or best offer.
I just realized that there may be moped shops around here who are willing to ship this for me, on the off chance that someone is willing to purchase it sight unseen. At the moment I don't have a cost or any other details on that, but I could look into it if someone were interested.
Few questions:
1. When was it purchased? VIN?
2. Can you read the numbers or other markings on the motor? Just curious if there is really difference between the 1500w standard and the 2000w sport besides a controller setting.
I may not be interested in the whole scooter, but I might be willing to pay your asking price for a list of parts off of it.

ldreamr,
I've been trying to locate a young man that might be interested.
I purchased my Luyuan PB-702 Model KBS from Swamp Cycles in Gainesville, and he said he lived close to there.
Are you involved in your V is for Voltage Community? :?
Gman,
What is our preferred future?
1. I purchased it in September 2005. The VIN is WGGMEP1546K001513.
For most of the time from 9/05 to 9/06 it was sitting in my garage, because of the tremendous bureaucratic snafus that prevented me from registering it and riding it legally.
2. Here are all the numbers/letters I could find.
ZWD-E-48V-1500
05-EP15
001420
Vehicle Cat A
1. Accelerator:0 S-4
2. Controller: 00K-08 (Or that could say DDK-08, not quite sure)
3. Motor: EP-1500

I looked up Swamp Cycle and it looks like I live about 15 minutes away. Not too far.

Hmm, no, I just found this forum through e-max.us.
Let me know if your friend is interested!

Just checking to see if you are still interested ... Did you find a difference between the 1500w and the 2000w?
