Looking for an EMB Lectra electric motorcycle. They were originally sold by EMB, then bought out by Zappy.

Re: EMB Lectra Electric Motorcycle

I have one in my garage .. but am planning to ride it myself as soon as I install the batteries and controller. There were only about 100 of them made, so it'll be a little difficult to find one.

good luck. You can find some out there somewhere and since this is still a small community your chances increase. If you look the discussion forum on yahoo, a guy in england is getting rid of one.

Re: EMB Lectra Electric Motorcycle

Good luck - you're going to need it as there are very few left out there. The rear half of the "eRex" is from a Lectra. I've actually managed to accumulate a decent amount of info on the bike as I had very little to start with other than the parts I cannibalized (I couldn't get the whole bike). Actually, on the Lectra site you list above if you follow the links to the "Product Support" - Scott Cronk (creator of the Lectra) actually posted those after I had contacted him via email to get wiring specific information so that I could use the motor and controller off of a Lectra without the giant interface board with the ignition switch. Scott was a great help and I have specific wiring harness details and schematics to help me with my project.
I've even got a pdf of the owner's manual around here somewhere if anyone would like a copy.

Good luck!

Nukem.

Re: EMB Lectra Electric Motorcycle

I'm willing to wait a long time if I have to. I mostly want it to collect. I don't think there has (and will be for a long time) a comparable production electric motorcycle.

Re: EMB Lectra Electric Motorcycle

Well, I will probably have some pieces left over here if you end up having to build one from seperate parts - Example: the main "console" board I grabbed only to trace circuits through it and don't actually need it for any future projects. If you decide to start collecting pieces I'm sure I could be talked out of some of mine.

Good luck!

Nukem

P.S. - You also might want to try contacting this guy - he might be done with his, no entries in a while.

He didn't respond. I'll know where to look if I need some parts once I get one.
