Looking for used/nonworking 12v DC - 120v AC inverter. Needs to be at least 1 kw.

Andrew
You can get a brand new converter 12 to 120 V 1,000W continuous 2,500 W from Costco for less $70.00.
If you starting new , I would recommend going up to 24 volt in or even 48 volt to ease the wire
and batteries current requirement .
Regards
Andre

Re: Used/nonworking 12v-120v inverter

Thanks for the suggestion. I was more interested in some junk that I could get for almost nothing. Also, I think I might need a little bit more than 1 kw for my motorcycle charger to work.

Re: Used/nonworking 12v-120v inverter

andrew-
Hi, I have a couple of "Used/nonworking 12v-120v inverter"
If you wanted, 12 VDC-120 VAC.
One older 300 or 400 watt, (killed by girlfriends brother, using power saw).
other one is an, Chicago Electric Item #94009 1,000 Watt, I got used last year for $50, then killed it a few weeks later at girlfriends cabin when I forgot about NEC neutral to ground bonding. I even had been warned about that but got a little cocky and had to see some magic smoke for myself. :(
Well I'd like to trade for something, to help my EV toys I'd like to build
Let me know, ( zip=83402)
PS:
"for my motorcycle charger to work."
Might be a way to "see some magic smoke" for yourself. ;)
