Re: battery charger for 12v 24ah

AFIK, 24AH battery would take 2A without problems. Most auto-type chargers have "trickle" setting about that big. I've been using a Vector 2/6/10 charger for about three years. The fan wore out, but was a standard size. Make sure you're using a three-stage charger, not the obsolete (fly back transformer?) type of battery charger.

Re: really12v 24ah????

I would be suprised if it wasnt a 24v 12ahr pack.
Clearly it has two 12v 12ahr batts, it would be very unusual if those werent series wired (i.e. u add the volts not the amps)

In which case any 24v charger would do

Hee hee.. Clearly, the first thing is to actually look at your pack and see what you have.

If you indeed have two 12V batteries in series, you will either need to temporarily break the series and charge them in parallel at 12V (using a series-parallel hookup as detailed on this site in other posts), or charge the string in series with a 24V charger. There are far more 12V than 24V chargers around, and they are both more reliable and cheaper, due to supply and demand. :)
