A bit on the goofy side

In the past I used to race my electric scooter with the gasser crowd. About 5 years ago they decided to handicap the electrics by having the race run on historic Route 66 for 50 miles in Arizona. With the (4) PC680 AGM batteries I only had a range of 6 miles, but because of the power of the Etek motor, figured I would have no problem towing a 500 lb battery trailer with (6) 8 volt, 165 a/hr, flooded golf cart batteries.

I was competitive until a wheel bearing on the trailer seized and started sucking amps. Deafscooter stopped and pulled the wheel bearing from his generator trailer and replaced my cooked wheel bearing with it. Still had enough whr to finish the race, but did not place.
