Resetting the Capacity count with an EVPS charger

Hi Guys,

I'm not as familiar with the EVPS charger as the older ESD charger.

I need to reset the capacity count used for the fuel gauge, as the old faulty nimh battery has been replaced with a good one.

Does the riding to red battery light twice in a row still work?

Obviously I have the usb-CAN cable, does the "force 30Ah" function still work?

being able to get to 0 bars without red battery light is nice, but the fuel gauge is only showing around half the actual capacity :(

cheers,
Matt

Cannot help you with this, but have a question:

How did this charger end up in Australia?

In my case the Force-to-30Ah command worked with an EVPS Charger (REV 4000 on the charger). If you do that, please make sure to completely drain your battery before charging. Otherwise the battery pack might get hot.

Hurrah :)

thanks for the reply

may I ask which version of the diagnostic software you used?

Thanks for the warning

In this case it's for a customer with a lithium conversion, so I'm not too concerned....

I wonder if the other functions work aswell, like being able to set the fuel gauge position to whatever is needed...
