Another XM-3000

Hi guys,

I got myself a 2009 XM-3000 in a very good condition with only 690 km.

This is my first bike and first electric.

Not what I was expecting at all!

Not a stranger to torque ( C6 Vette) but this thing has some torque!

Fun to drive, 25-30 mph feels like you are going a 100 MPH :)

One question I got - I don't have a low/high speed switch on the right handle, there is a
Space but no switch?

Also any good online stores with accessories for our bikes?

Maybe I'm wrong but 3kW feels like plenty even with two people on this heavy and stable
Bike.

Also impressed with fit and finish.

I can't believe no one has answered you yet! I've been reading here at work over the weekend, but can't remember my PW to get in there - Firefox supplies it automatically at home. Anyway, this is from the XM-3150 topic:

"The infamous 2 speed “power/economy” switch (which was not mentioned at all by the manual) was located under the seat nearby the circuit breaker and the charger port. It is a three position rocker switch labeled I, O, and II. I is low speed, II is high speed (I haven’t tried ‘O’"

I don't know of any one store that specializes in XM series scooters, but if you want a better throttle, with more control, try this:

Two things:

You can retrieve your passwords (or just refresh your memory) from Firefox: Options | Security | Saved Passwords.

My experience on the XB600 was similar to yours. It's no Ninja 900, but it is a LOT of fun.

"O" as in OFF is the secret, I am fairly certain :-)

I figured I could retrieve the PW, it's just that I only remembered at work. ;-(

My XM-3000 is pretty good in High, but I'm not *that* impressed with the torque. I think my Lepton has more in High (aka "Sprint").

Yeah, well, my Suzuki M/C beats the XB600 too, but "horses for courses..."

Why is my 1800 watt Lepton not comparable to my 3000 watt XM3000...? It just shows that hub motors are not the best way to get torque.

Guys, where is that switch?
I don't have any switches under the seat.
Could it be possible that my 2009 XM-3000 doesn't have that switch?

Also range seems to be 16.5 high speed miles, maybe 5 more were left in it.
I guess original 2009 batteries to blame.

Used 2,800 watts for 16.5 mi going at high speed.

You are obviously running in High range now, so if you have no need for economy mode, don't worry about it. My 2008 XM3000 has the mode switch attached to the lower end of the throttle. It is labeled with the not-so-clear "0" and "-" symbols. As for range, what you are getting is normal for High. I can squeeze maybe 30 miles out of mine, but that's running almost entirely in Low.
