Li battery vs. NiMH battery

Does a 40S2P (80 cells 30Ah) battery pack make sense for such a conversion? What about a third-level BMS for such a pack?

Moreover I was wondering whether the regen power peaks could be used to cool down the battery box by a peltier cells system (provided a thermal isolation for the
box walls). Did you heard about it?
