EXTRA LIGHTS ANYONE?

Every one that has done the leaf conversion and has removed the cooling fan can add all the led light they want.2015-12-28 10.11.21.jpg2015-12-28 10.11.12.jpg2015-12-28 10.11.01.jpg2015-12-28 10.10.44.jpg

Re: EXTRA LIGHTS ANYONE?

Very nice! How is this related to removing the cooling fans? Did you install some additional electronics there?

Re: EXTRA LIGHTS ANYONE?

When I first installed the leaf batterys I took both fans out but later trimed the plastic cover that holds the rear fan and then replaced the rear fan only but in doing the rear fan replacement I tested the fan circuits with cycle anlyst and discovered that the fans are (2) seperate circuits and the fans use apox 29 watts each(by the way my fans come on after you turn on the bikes power but it has a delay in starting the fans) I guess this is to let the on board 12 volt convertor have time to power up propely. I used the circuit that operates the front fan(which is not in place) and I have added 14 single leds and 6 clusters of (4each) leds and they only use a total of (8) watts so there is plenty of watts left to use for other things.I tried to add turn signal leds but the original turn signal would blink buy were too dim so I abandoned that idea for now.2015-12-26 11.49.58.jpg

Re: EXTRA LIGHTS ANYONE?

Got it, thank you! I think the delay in the fan maybe to minimize noise while stopped? At least the fan on the MC does that, not sure how the battery fans are programmed and what controls them (the MC or some other controller) - I took both of my fans out, as in my case I would more often be pumping-in air that is hotter than the battery that cools-off in the garage most of the warm months of the year.

Re: EXTRA LIGHTS ANYONE?

THE FANS HAVE THE SAME DELAY WHEN PLUGING IN THE CHARGER. I re-installed the rear fan because I was going to install a 150 volt to 12 volt 35 amp convertor but for now I just use a 12 volt 10 amph. ping-lithium battery to operate the 200 amp relay and the 160 volt inrush current limiter that I installed now when I turn off the main switch and the switch that controls the 12 volt battery all power to scooter is off.
