Recall is in action

The Vectrix got loaded up onto a truck yesterday, and is headed from L.A. to Rhode Island. No word on how long it's going to take, but I think I saw someone mention 20 days somewhere. Bummer. I put a note on the bike about the squeaky throttle, so we'll see how thoroughly they go over everything...

Re: Recall is in action

Are they trucking all of the North American Vectrixes back to Rhode Island???

I thought they would have a few competent service centers spread across the continent by now.

If the battery was not so heavy it would be much easier to come to the scooter, rather than bring the scooter to the hoist: The rear battery weighs 47kg! And the front battery 43kg.
A workers comp claim waiting to happen if you send staff out to lift them out of the frame by hand!

It would probably be possible to break the 104 cells up into 4 clusters; these could then each be lifted out of the frame by hand without risking a back injury.

Out of interest, is any new bike being sold with an upgraded battery/software or must one go through the motions?
