Upgrade Evader EV100S to EVT hub motor?

My Evader is an earlier model, 2003 or 2004, with the 48v pack and a 1000 watt motor. The top flat-ground speed is 24 mph, as checked with a GPS unit. Upvolting the pack to 60v has given me a 28-29 mph capability, adequate for all but the 35 mph streets in this area. I have modified my shunt for improved acceleration and hill-climbing ability.

Electric Motorsport sells a couple of the EVT hub motors. I am interested in the least cost, 1500 watt motor, here:

At 24 mph, my motor is turning about 476 rpm, with 20 amps. The EVT motor appears to turn a bit faster, 676 rpm at its best efficiency, which equates to 34 mph. I am not sure how to use the curves displayed for the EVT motor to determine what speed I would get if the 1500 watt motor was installed. One downside is that the EVT motors are set up for disc brakes. The rear brake on my Evader is a drum-type.

I would like to go back to the 48v pack, with the hope of eventually upgrading to a lithium pack. My PbAcids are getting a bit tired.

Can anybody advise me on what to expect from either of the EVT motors?

Thanks!

Les
