I think you have seriously underestimated the power and all-encompassing nature of YouTube, my friend. I have seen far worse than people lighting off homemade fireworks inside a house.

One of the smartest people I have ever known once lit about a half pound of loose black powder at a 4th party after his homemade firecrackers ran out. His face was about a foot from the powder, and he came up looking like wiley coyote. fortunately mostly first degree burns, and a bad haircut. Even a calculus genius can have no common sense.
