I recently bought a used 48Volt scooter (adult size) from a guy off of craigslist. I need to find a new controller for it and I'd prefer to have the right one rather than try to make a similar one work. I'm not that bright and I could zap something without even knowing what I'd done. The scooter is grey plastic and has a "Jet" logo on the side. I don't have a model number or a user manual. It is 48v rear hub drive and was originally set up for somewhere around 400 watts (the original owner tells me) but that controller blew out when his son went off roading with the scooter. He bought a controller off of ebay in the 600 watts range and that worked for a while but he had to jury rig it and I don't wnat to do that. Is there anybody out there who knows anything at all about the type, brand or model of sccoter that I'm asking about, what model controller I need and where I can get one?
