Undestanding Amp Circuit

My crude understanding needs some reassurance or clarification .Therefore, this is a request for anybody so graciously share input on the following subject:Looking at the specs of both XB-600 & XB-508 they read 48 Amp Circuit & 56 Amp Circuit respectively .Does it mean that the XB-508 controller would allow more current to flow ? Would it more likely resist better modding ? Would then the hub be allowed to develop more torque ? Note that the 508 controller sells more expensively .And finally : Does the 508 controller puts out 19 wires ? Thank you in advance.
