Toyota NiMH Questions
Submitted by ol-watts-his-name on Mon, 08/18/2008 - 10:40.
Is anyone out there actually using these cells, reconfigured? I'm thinking, with the availability and price there is little to not like, here. Toyota is a bit close mouthed on actual specs. 7.2v nominal per cell,, any idea where this is at full charge? Safely discharged? Charging appears to be a temperature management issue, any experience with amperage inputs to a 72v pack? Shutoff temps? Thanks up front.

Re: Toyota NiMH Questions
Someone on the endless sphere forum (http://endless-sphere.com/forums/index.php) is playing with Prius cells. Apparently you also need to build a box to prevent their actual physical expansion as well as the usual thermal/amp draw considerations.
