BD36 speed limiter
Submitted by hamblin10 on Fri, 08/22/2008 - 05:49.
Is there a speed limiter built into a BD36 controller like some other kits?
Thanks

Re: BD36 speed limiter
Nope. Speed is limited by max amps the controller delivers, but not any particular speed. I find that with my bd36, at 36 volts, I can hit 30mph if I peadle hard enough, or am going downhill. Theoretical top speed downhill would be same as the no load speed. I don't remember what that was exactly, but it was in the 45-50 mph range. No load is when you run the motor with the tire off the ground.
