Some of you need single cells...

They're from "jeffkay" over on the ES. I guess he figured out a way to do that without overheating the cells.

after all his effort he is selling??
why?
thinning before soldering copper bar? - I would still not do it to theses expensive cells.
There is difference when you solder to welded tabs like Doc did on green cells, because you don`t apply heat directly to cell.
there is no way around this -quick means risk of cold soldering.
As A123 says they should not be heated by soldering.
All tool packs are cold welded and on Milwaukee packs I checked welds are very strong.

You are correct, sir! You must not overheat the cells. These were not and work fine. To prove my point, the cells are made to "Pop" if overheated. I did achieve that failure mode before I created the proper method. Incidentally, A123 does not recommend soldering to cells. They say they don't flame but I saw that happen too! I love A123 but think at the price of admission they are not worth the dollar per AH today. I did not sell my packs, instead I am using them in a car!

these cells had been seriously overheated with such hudge chunks of solder on them.
simply before copper bar even absorbed heat damage was sure done to some of cells.
