chinese e-bike?

I purchased a chinese e-bike and I found out about the grey wire thing, I was locked at 20 km/h then unhooked the grey wire and was at 40 km/h, my question is I have up to 60km/h on my dash, is there another wire to unhook to get this faster to the 60km/h range? This would mean another jump of 20km/h. Anybody have any resonse to this, I would greatly app. it.

thanks

kid

Re: chinese e-bike?

That seems to be like most other e-bikes. The gray wire is a limiting circuit, with it un-connected you are getting the maximum speed the bike will get without adding more Voltage to it.

Try checking out this link.....

http://www.bergerweb.net/xb500/addbattery.shtml

It has a lot of modifications you can do to a rather normal e-bike.

You can also search this website for "xb-600 60V" etc. as many here have modified their xtreme xb-600's.
It is probably the most moded e-bike on here.

Re: chinese e-bike?

I still think there might be another wire to unplug, then she will go to 60km/h, I will have to tinker with her on the weekend. If anyone still reads this post feel free to give any feedback, or if anybody knows if my thoughts are correct.

Thanks

Re: chinese e-bike?

Sadly, I'm pretty sure some companies put the mph that high for show. I have a Wildfire that runs on gas that did that. It wasn't that they advertised a higher speed than I got, just that the speedometer measures up to 60mph when on a good day going down hill it should max out at 45mph. Also, if they sell another version of the same bike with more power/voltage, (which isn't uncommon) then they probably just use the same display for both. If you are getting the advertised speed out of it, then I would probably say that this is what's going on. Good luck, I hope you get it to where you want!
