A vectrix owner hanging around in Barcelona send me today this pictures. He is really worried: the temperature sensor displays 123-124 degrees Celsius during CC 152 recharging phase...
Before recharging temperature was around 23 C
A bad sensor? Or there's a sensor exactly above a damaged cell? Should he stop ridding his vectrix immediately?

I asked him to take some more shots to check if the sensor temp is still out of normal range...

If it was really that hot, you'd KNOW it! (smoke/etc.)

Mine also sometimes displays a "1" before the temp reading. I think it's just a display glitch. If the bike's brain really thought the batteries were that hot, charging would cease and you'd get a "bathot" readout.

To be sure, it wouldn't be a bad idea to feel how hot exhaust from the battery fans is, and/or feel the aluminum belly pan to see if they're warm/hot.

Nice to know you've seen this before.
He called me again. Sometimes it displays the 1 in front of the temp, sometimes not. It must be a SW bug. He is suffering also from the mad voltage syndrome...

That's probably a bad sensor reading, but don't worry because if it were true, the batteries should be completely damaged and the bike would not work. Also with that temperature, the bike should be extremely hot from outside. Please diagnose scooter with the Vectrix program to get more accurate readings.
