I am trying to submit a warranty claim for my battery pack. Anybody have a good $ number for battery pack replacement cost?
Has anyone else submitted a battery pack warranty claim?

You are too late, the deadline for warranty claims under the bankruptcy proceedings has passed!

This information may be used entirely at your own risk.

Re: battery replacement cost for warranty claim?

No, it was extended to Feb 2. (next Tuesday).

I had submitted a claim with "one Vectrix VX-1 battery pack" in for the $____USD amount. Got back confirmation of reciept of my claim, but withwas "undetermined" in the comments.
Brief conversation with Omni (who essentially said they couldn't tell me how to fill it out) indicated they need a dollar figure in there.
Just need to know what's a good number for a replacement pack and its installation.

Thanks...

yup,
and the kicker is, a replacement LiFePO4 pack is 2/3 that price, if you are willing to do some mods.

I'll just add them to the thousands I've been getting since I built my own website a decade ago! HAHA!! :-)

Thank you though, and if the system will let me, I'll go back and edit that one out since it's not my usual "posting" address.

These bikes are truly destined to become disposable bikes. The retail sum of their parts is at least double what the MSRP is on a new one, and after the scoot gets four or five years old, it's resale value will likely be less than any single major component cost. Simply not worth the price of a replacement battery.

I got stuck between a rock and a hard place once, and in 1995, I had to replace a dead rotary engine on a 1983 Mazda RX-7. The engine cost me $2200, and another $400 or so for labor. When the work was completed and the car ran like brand new, it had a resale value of $950!

Because of the loss of the original company, and the uncertain future of the new one here in the states, these bikes are no longer worth the cost of a new battery, and would barely be worth the cost of a controller. When they break, they are best destined to be dismantled and salvaged for parts. However I DO hope that does not become necessary anytime soon for any of us!!

It's like a big ol chocolate candy bar. Enjoy it while it lasts, 'cause when the chocolate's gone, there ain't nothing left but a wortless wrapper! ;-)
