Deafscooter Build off new "Limo Monster Scooter"
As for me ... I'm probably going to sacrifice speed for range ... I think 40 is probably about as fast as I could go without a helmet and still feel confident that if I wiped out I could safely duck and roll. Just about all my riding is in the city, and even on my old scooter going about 20 I was usually faster than traffic. Although I have a feeling that a month after getting the scooter I'll be thinking 40 is slow!
I think my ideal color would be a blue / silver ... or like a metalic blue ... I can't find a picture of blue silver, but in my mind it's like silver with a blue tint. (if that makes any sense)
It's looking real good! All it needs is a bumper sticker on the rear ... like "Eat my Voltage" or "Electrics do it better" or something ...
Up to 80mph? On those little wheels? With that steering geometry? Are you ~expletive deleted~ crazy!!! What RPM's is that motor putting out???
Are you sure that's the top end?
Also, 40mph on a stand up scooter sounds like I'd want a helmet. Duck and roll sounds cool until some idiot opens their car door right in front of you and the next think you know you're sailing through the air...
Best of luck - I just hope we don't end up scraping you off the pavement.
"Eat Sparks!"
That's funny ... actually, Craig has some other scooters listed on which he's gotten tickets going 70+ ... also, we talked about including 12" wheels, but that would have put me over the length restriction for the train.
My girlfriend is making me get a helmet after reading this site ... I already have a ribcap (http://www.ribcap.ch) for the winter ... it's made from the same nano polymer all the skiers used in this past winter olympics. It's soft normally, but is hard under stress. For the summer I need to find some cool bluetooth enabled headset. Anyone have any recommendations?

Very curious to know what those ribcaps are like. I remember seeing the technology on TV are they any good? wood they provide much protection? I currently dont ride with anything at the moment which isn't good.
Can't wait to see what color has been chosen to paint that marvelous mass of metal. That's quite a test facility you have there, Craig. I would be very envious if only I knew how to do all that stuff. Ha!
Looks fantastic! Your best effort yet! This is the total package.
