Adding Another 24 Volts and Amps To My Scooter?

I have a Schwinn S750 with 2 12 volt 15 amp batteries. The batteries won't take a charge anymore, so I'm looking to get 2 new 12 V 15 amp batteries, but adding 2 12 Volt 18-26 amp batteries in parallel, of course. Will I have to replace my controler because of the added amps? The 2 12 volt 15 amp batteries alone make the scooter practically useless for any practical purpose. I help the grand kids on their paper routes, and the 2 15 amp batteries did not last long.

I figure I'd be spending about $200 for batteries. Plus the charger than came with the scooter lasted about 6-8 months. Junk! So I would have to buy a new charger. Maybe I should just buy a Dirt Dog gas scooter for $350.

blue spider scooter

I have a36 volt blue spider scooter, with the rear wheel off the ground the wheel spins when throttle is applied
When the wheel is put on the ground it stops, I have checked batteries etc but cant find a fault, I have been told it could be the motor or controller but I cant find any way of testing them. The motor has 8 wires coming from it. Help please.
Thanks Trevor

Replacement Battery Pack needed - n00b needs HELP!

Oh wise and wonderful "V" posters - I need your help (again).

My 600w scooter is in need of new batteries. I am seriously considering going with LiFePO4 if I can find a reasonably priced, reliable pack that fits. I'm thinking that a 48v 20ah pack should do the trick. Does that sound right?

Any advice you have regarding specifications, vendors, installation, etc. would be greatly appreciated.

The idea of spending as much on batteries as I paid for my bike is a bit un-nerving, so your views regarding SLA vs other battery technologies are also welcome.

Thanks in advance for sharing your expertise :)

EGO scooter -need more torque for hill climbing

I have an EGO scooter and I need more torque than I currently have for 0.5 mile hill at in my overall 5 mile commute. I have EGO's hill climbing gear installed (replaces the front sprocket with a smaller one), but the front belt keeps slipping on the smaller front sprocket. I'm thinking there simply aren't enough teeth to handle the increased torque on the hill climbing gear. So I would love to get some feedback on two issues:
1. has anyone identified a replacement rear sprocket for the EGO? Instead of using the small front sprocket that EGO sells as its Hill Climbing Gear, I would like to use the stock one with a larger diameter and more teeth in order to hold the higher torque. Then to increase the torque I would like to use a larger rear sprocket on the back wheel.
2. How can I increase power on my EGO? higher voltage, different motor, any alterations of the controller possible to increase torque, ect?

Hot tip: Easier way to tighten front primary 15mm belt on the EGO, or remove the motor (for cleaning or brush replacement):
EGO's manual fails to mention the 2nd motor bolt at the motor's bottom which needs to be loosened in order to adjust the tentioning bolt. (I learned by following their directions and breaking the tentioning bolt.) Instead of the necessary removal of the rear wheel, you can drill a 1" hole in the scooter's frame opposite the lower motor mounting bolt. This allows the adjustment or access to the motor in about 5 minutes.

2-speed motor?

I'm picking up a new scooter this coming tuesday. It is a 450 watt scooter with a 2-speed motor. What is the proper way to use this 2-speed? There is a switch to change the speed, at what time do you switch the speed?? This is my first scooter and can't wait to get going! Also is there a proper way to break in a new scooter??
Thanks

09 Razor Pocket Rocket (Blue) throttle help

My five year old son loves his 2009 Razor Pocket Rocket. Only problem is the throttle is all or nothing(on/off). I dont want to increase the speed or voltage. Currently 24v. I would like advice on changing the on/off twist grip throttle to variable speed. I believe it is called a hall type throttle. What throttle will work on the bike and will I need to replace the controller? Also? has anyone upgraded the brakes to a foot brake? Any help would be appreciated.

Looking for a similar battery for my "dual motor" scooter

New Pacelite HCF 707 Throttle problem.

Hello,
I just got a used Pacelite HCF 707 scooter for cheap (150 bucks) but it has some issues. The main problem is that I cannot find any documentation for the thing. I think the wiring is screwed up and have no idea how the batteries, etc are to be hooked up. Second, when I did try to connect things, the best I can get is to have the batteries spark (slightly) when I connect the leads in only one way. Then, when I depress the throttle, it comes on full power all of a sudden causing the scooter to lurch forward out of control. When I try to hook it up any other way, either get big-time sparks, or nothing. Any ideas? Thanks!
