Razor saw

After variuos hair trimmer bought during the years with poors results (if it has the battery it runs down fastly, if it has the wire is difficult to use beacuse it always wrap, they easily break at the first fall, after a few months they cut less, you can't find the spare parts ecc), I have decided to buy one that can last some years without these problems.
Easy to say but which is this electric razor? Or which is the best and the best brand?
If someone of you has a suggestion I would be very grateful.
Thank you

Is speaker wire a good choice for wiring lights?

I need to run some wire from the battery to the lights mounted on the front and rear of my e-bike. In a previous thread, 18 gauge was recommended as an acceptable gauge for a 24v low wattage (<25w) load.

I would like to use speaker wire, if it will work because it runs in wire pairs. However, I am not sure of how well it will hold up to exposure to moisture, cold and sunlight. Any advice?

How warm do LED lamps?

I am trying to install a pair of 12v led lights in series for headlights. The lights work great, but the housing they came with was junk-- would never keep out water. My plan is to mount them inside an old 6 volt flashlight housing where they will be fixed in place by packing them in with some sort of material.

I would like to use styrofoam (lightweight, shock absorbing and form fitting) to pack the flashlight, but I have no idea whether the lights will get hot enough to melt the styrofoam and whether they need air exchange to dissipate heat (won't be available sealed up inside a plastic flashlight housing.

Is Music on a bike an accessory?

I’ve been enjoying wearing a wireless headset while
riding my XB600.

I have it Bluetooth connected to my iphone and can enjoy
pre-recordings or streaming music from Pandora.

Fully enjoy the experience!

..and I find that I can hear and be aware of my
surroundings while riding.

Because I can press a button and answer an incoming call,
this adds to the flexibility of commuting and communicating.I use a Jabra BT8040 for a single ear mono experience..

BT8040  .. and an Altec 903 for a full stereo experience.. Altec 903

They each have their place and benefits. With the Altec 903, I can press the right ear button and pause the music & hear outside sounds.

It’s great to have a choice depending on the situation.

Does anyone share the same experience or is it too
forbidden to mix music and riding?

selecting the proper fuse

I am wiring some lights to a battery and I would like to install an in-line fuse to protect the battery from the possibility of a short in the lights or wiring.

The maximum draw for the lights is 25 watts-- is there a formula for what ah rating fuse I should use?

wiring lights in series

I have a 24v battery and want to install a lighting system that draws from the battery instead of using a second set of batteries for lighting. Most of the low watt led lights I have found are 12v dc. If I wire two lights in series will that drop the voltage to each light to 12v? I understand how wiring batteries in series adds the voltage and I don't know whether the principle holds true in reverse when wiring a load.

Need help setting up aux. lighting

I have a Chinese bike in China. The headlight is really crappy. I picked up a couple of driving lights in the US a few weeks ago and installed them. I couldn't find any way to tie into any 12V wiring coming out of the 48V to 12V converter. I found that when I tested one of the four batteries it was showing 12V even though it was still wired up to the other three. Testing the others showed 24V, 36V and 48V respectively. I wired up my lights to the first battery which showed 12V as a last resort. Is this ok? It seems to be fine, but will it hurt anything? I will only use it with the lights for about 7 minutes/day maybe 5 days/week. I usually ride only a few miles/day and charge it each night. I never do long rides at night. The existing controller is only about a 15A or so so I don't think adding the new lights to it (which work quite well) would be a good idea. What would you all suggest? Thanks!

BLDC hall for speedometer?

I was wondering if this was a bad idea and if not how it could be done. I was wanting to connect one of the hall effect sensor wires from off the BLDC hub motor to both the controller and electronic speedometer. How could this be done? The motor has a 5V input, GND and 3 hall effects. The speedometer runs off a 12V converter (Bike is 72V 12KW) and is designed to replace any electronic speedometer off of any vehicle using the original sensor from the vehicle. (Homemade vehicles don't have original sensors) If this is a bad idea, does anyone know where to get an electronic speed sensor that can be stuck on a BLDC hub motor?
