I am wondering about my new Vehicle. I actually didn't know I bought a Hybrid. I just needed a reliable SUV like now. But after driving it with my hearing aid in my head I noticed the engine shut off. The red light turned green and I stepped on the pedal and it started up and went forward instantly. I didn't hear a starter motor solenoid kick in and a 12 volt starter grind? Therefore it lead me to believe a 350 or 400 volt battery that started the ICE portion of the vehicle. It started fast and took off forward just as fast.

We've been exploring electric car finance options through a comparison site and had a question about the timing. How far in advance can we secure the finance? Do we need to have already found a car beforehand?

By the way, my girlfriend and I made up our minds about this after seeing some helpful information on Twitter. It provided us with valuable insights and guidance in our search for the right financing solution.

I put a J-1772 on my VX-1 and just got an adapter to put on Zero now. I guess it is like charging a Leaf or a Bolt. I just swipe my card and charge at U-Mass Lowell or the free one in Maynard. I don't understand the limitations of the charger though. I don't mind 12 amperes ~ 1440 Watts but does it still will do 12 amps, or does it do more like 16 Amperes if you use 240 volt NEMA 6-20? There are so many on Amazon and eBay. I was told it can be plugged into 240 volt with an adapter to change 120 pin out to 6-20 type.

I am converting a Honda Insight to electric power. I'm using an HPEV ac-50 motor with a Curtis 1238R controller. The controller has a three wire connection for a hall effect type throttle. The three connections are +5vdc, ground, and signal. The Prius throttle assembly has a 6 pin connecter. Does anyone know which throttle assy. pins I need to connect to the controller?
