Hi everyone I have this motor it works but there are some things I want to see if they are possible. The freewheel is broken , does anyone know where I can get a replacement gears? My next question is if it's possible to change this motor to make it a spoked wheel or if anyone has managed to do this. This is a cast motor with solid spokes from a good e scooter.

I don't have a separate work area; this will be done inside my home so preferably not toxic while curing. Was thinking of 3M DP420 but haven't used it before. Any suggestions?

Hi guy unfortunately someone stole my last project which I mentioned in one of the threads. It was a Baja BE500 they came in my backyard while I was away and took it. I had the batteries out of it soI figured I would look for another bike and put the batteries into it.

In theory, everything considered, is AC induction drive or BLDC motor the best? (For a 48v system on a small EV car?)

Couple of technical questions on a Sepex motor (48v Aixam van) here if anyone can help.
On a Sepex motor van, after removing the blown Curtis controller I connected the field to a 12v battery and Armature to 24v to see if it would go.
1) Even though I connected the field and Arm black wires to negative, and Reds to positive ... The van drove in reverse (about 7 mph).
The simple solution was to put the field wires 'the wrong way round' and then it drove forwards, but I just can't understand why the obvious set-up made it go backwards??

I've got a scooter frame and a motor I want to mount on it. The scooter is an old honda elite which was stripped down and formerly had an electric drive on it. I bought it a ways back without its electric drive system and there isn't an obvious way to mount a motor.
One option I've come up with is part# 3042T39 at http://www.mcmaster.com/ ... a u-bolt with a guillotene metal piece.

I am a bit confused about motor options due in large part to conflicting motor information on different websites.
I am looking for something a motor/controller combination will make my 800 pound mini-car cruise at 65mph without the motor/controller burning up and hit about an 80mph top speed.
Extra acceleration would be nice, but not necessary.

So i have a Schwinn S500 that I am going to be upgrading (ordering parts by the end of the week) and I just wanted someone else's opinion. I will be running a Kelly controller (80A continuous 200A peak) and a 24V setup (for now with a 9S or 10S Lipo upgrade in the near future) should I hold out on getting a new motor until I go LiPo? Also, I am looking at either the 24V 750W or the 36V 1000W motor to upgrade to. I mainly want some low end grunt, but a top speed around 20MPH would be nice too. Do I get the 24V and overvolt it or go with the 36V at rated voltage?

I have recently recieved a mini e bike, lee iacocca evg. It has everything, a good controller, new batteries etc. except a MOTOR. I was wondering where I could find a motor that will plug into the existing controller. The bike has 20" wheels, I think they are the originals but I have no idea how the motor should fit on or where to find one. Anyone know where to start looking?
Thanks,
Ralph
