Is this a good bike to purchase?

Hello V is for voltage community, I have a question concerning an electric bicycle that I am considering purchasing. I and it are currently located in British Columbia, Canada, and the person selling it told me that the person they purchased it from acquired it from a Walmart in Colorado, United States of America., and is only approximately two years old and virtually unused by themselves, they claim to have maintained the battery well. To my untrained eye all the tyres, brake pads, frame, standard bicycle side of things, etc… looks in good condition. It is absent an owner's manual.

Currie Ezip Trails, Left Hand Freehub issue

Hello, got a fun one for the wrench end of things. I finally busted a spoke on the rear wheel, on the motor drive side..... no biggy, just pull the freehub and replace... wait!! What tool to take that oddball freehub off??? I've seen the hub for sale on other sites, so there must be a tool to take that thing off? right? I'd ask Currie but, THEY WANT MONEY TO TALK SUPPORT AFTER THE WARRANTY IS GONE!!!!

Please help, Schwinn S350 problem

Hello All,
Need help with a Schwinn S350. The problem is that I have replaced the batteries and all went great for about 2 weeks. Now after batteries were recharged several times, now when turned on, both the green and red LED lights illuminates on the throttle control and the scooter will not run. Both battery voltages are correct, and not sure how to proceed from here. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Phil

Currie iZip Urban Cruiser

I recently sold my xTreme be500 and picked up a currie iZip urban cruiser. I am very impressed with it so far - plenty of range but it is a little on the slow side. Has anyone put any serious miles on one of these bikes? I am wondering how durable the components are. Thanks -fonsecat

nybody24 Speed Treck Power Assist Bike

Just purchased by new bike. If anyone rides a multi-geared power assited bike, what gear do you use. All that shifting really seems complicated.

Schwinn S500 modding

Hey everybody, I'm new to the forum. I currently have a schwinn s500 which I have added an extra battery to and it now runs at 36v. Recently the band break has failed so that needs fixing as well.

Here's a video of it working right now: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PodV_G67xBY

36 Volt Izip has lost power

My Izip running on 36 volts was running great until recently when it has lost significant power. It now has the performance of about a 24 volt. Anybody have any ideas why ?

Thanks

Schwinn S-350 upgrades

Hey everyone, I'm new here and was looking to soak up some knowledge. I just picked up a used stock S-350, and was wondering if anyone could give me their insight on the best method to give me a little boost in both speed and range. Running a 350 Watt/24V motor, 2 x 12V 10AH SLA batts in series. I was thinking of stepping up to a 500W motor, should I also step up the system to 36 or 48 V with higher AH ratings? I realize I will need (or should get) a 36 or 48V controller, but would I also need to rewire the system with a lower gauge wire for the increased amperage?
