A Collaborative Handbook to collect, discuss and organise repair and service information for the Vectrix VX1.
This is a work in progress, potentially full of errors and wrong advice of all kinds.
Use it at your own risk!
Never attempt any repairs or modifications if you are not competent and qualified to do so.
Get someone who is suitably qualified to check the information first, and then let them do the required work for you instead.

I lithium swapped my vx1, and the NIMH batteries that I took out are just sitting on my garage floor taking up space. If no interest, I will recycle, but I'd love to instead help a Vectrix owner that needs them. Located in Pennsylvania, USA. Also have the cooling fan system, BMS stuff, etc. Just pay packaging/shipping.

I've heard about the Whatsapp Vectrix group; however, I'm not a whatsapp user and can't find anything online about how to join this specific vectrix group. Can someone send me an invitation to the Vectrix whatsapp group or explain how to join?

I completed a Vectrix VX1 Li-ion conversion last year, and the original nimh batteries are sitting in my garage taking up space. Is there a market/need for these nimh batteries? I'd like to give them a good home, but if there is no need, I'll just recycle/scrap them.

Reluctantly selling my like-new 2007 VX-1. It has always been garaged and has under 1,500 miles (will increase with use). The original NiMH battery pack has been replaced by 19 gen 2 Nissan Leaf NMC lithium modules, giving it an estimated range around 100 miles (depending on use). Also has bigger main fuse and replaced phase terminals

Well, I had my fun, but I fear my Vectrix have both bitten the dust. The one I upgraded to Leaf batts swole and needs to be junked and the original that I have had since 2009 finally threw a battery error. I am 61 and just not excited about picking up battery packs anymore.
How do you junk a motorcycle? I have always just sold them but these are not ridable any more. I could part them out, but who knows what a Vectrix is anymore?
I am in the East Bay of California if anyone is interested.

Please can someone help?
I have just tried to upload laird firmware for a 36 cell leaf conversion of my Vectrix and I can't any ICM firmware to load.
I was using a windows 32bit pc running windows 7 and a PCAN USB adapter with the 32bit version of the vectrix diagnostic software.

I looked through all the >7 years old VX1 headlamp/headlight replacement threads about correcting the poor OEM bulb lighting (Philips HS1 12636 35/35W bulb). I also broke something within the original bulb while trying to disassemble the headlight to get some pictures and see what type of bulb it is. Sooo, now I'm committed to bulb replacement.
Does anyone have recent experience and can suggest a LED replacement bulb? Will any "HS1" type work?
