eGo Classic electric scooter charging issue

Can anyone tell me why the on-board charger on my eGo scooter stays on as long as it is plugged in? The fan runs, and the yellow light never turns green. The batteries show a full charge, and the scooter runs normally. Thank you.

Domain name outage for visforvoltage.org

Hi... There was an accidental outage for visforvoltage.org over the weekend. It will have appeared that the website was down for a couple days. The site itself was not down, because the server is functioning as it always has. But, the domain name was misconfigured making it impossible to get to the site.

What happened is this ...

The domain name visforvoltage.org was about to expire (as well as davidherron.com). Rather than simply renew the domain name registrations, I also transferred the domain names to a different domain registrar.

I've increased the maximum allowed image upload size

Remember that this site was first set up in 2007, or maybe it was 2006. We're coming up on the anniversary, actually. In any case, the maximum allowed size for uploaded images -- 500x500 -- was decided way back in the mists of time when disk space was at more of a premium.

I've just increased the maximum allowed image upload to 1200x1200

!Arriba!

I wanted to design an electric go kart that could easily "pop wheelies"

The plan was to use a minimalistic approach & trying to make it strong by design
...kinda little & big @ the same time

I wanted a small foot print with lots of power
...but, also lightweight & heavy duty

Goals
-easy to enter & exit
-comfortable to drive
-powerful - torquey (to lift the wheels) & speedy (over 20 mph)
-strong but, don't over build it (keep her ~100 lbs.)

Here is a slide show type video of the build

Tri-Quad digital battery monitor

I have designed & assembled a Tri-Quad (less than $25.00) to monitor the battery pack on my electric motorcycle conversion

It uses an Amp/Volt meter (~$15.00 delivered) to monitor the energy consumption & battery pack voltage "capacity"

https://www.ebay.com/itm/DC-300V-500...72.m2749.l2649

(Amp: displays the amperage drawn by the motor & Voltage: displays the "total" battery pack voltage)

Torsk (backbone chassis) kart

I have recently completed another project & wanted to share

It's called the Torsk, named after The U.S.S. Torsk (just cause it sounded kool)

It has a 48V 1,000W MY1020 brushed electric motor
...push button reverse
...an Amp/Volt meter (to monitor the Amp draw of the motor & the battery pack voltage level)
…& a brake light

I made some videos of progress along the way

Here is the intro https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SJ9zdzrl4CA

Close to having upgrade to Drupal 7

FYI - I've been working the last 2 weeks on upgrading V to Drupal 7. I have worked out most of what's required. The site I'm using to test is installed in a virtual Ubuntu machine on my laptop but I'll be able to replicate it on the server shortly.

I've got a number of issues to straighten out still, but that number is shrinking by the hour.

When it comes time to perform the actual conversion - I'll have to disable V for most of a day.

I'll also make a backup of everything as I go along, in case there's a need to abort and revert to the current site.
