minimoto electric pocket rocket help

Hi guys I have a minimoto electric pocket rocket with Ducati stickers, it looks like the Minimoto Honda pocket rocket. I noticed that the wiring iis really messed up. The ignition is missing, when I first got it two oranage wires were wired to the throttle and a red and black wire were jumped , this is the only way the bike would turn on. It seems like the person who wired it did it backwards, the orange wires I think are for the ignition, the red, black wires are together with a green wire.

Odering from China

Has anyone ordered a scooter from China ?

Just wondering what I should expect, how to pay, who to blame if it is broken when arrived ?

Since I am just outside of Boston, I wonder if it would come to Boston.... more likely Maine or NY. So then it needs to be trucked to my house.

What about the MCO and paperwork. Should that be sent to my house after I get it (before)? I think I read that is should NOT be sent WITH the scooter.

Any other info would be great.

Electric Inboard Boat

I made this inboard electric boat at very low cost based on e-bay purchases. The boat hull is from a small centerboard sailboat (these go for next to nothing if the mast is broken or the sails are bad), with 24 VDC 3/4 HP motor drive.

Built the boat to travel around with a steamboat group, while building a new steamer. Now that the steamboat is completed, I will probably sell the ecectric. It has served us well for 5 years noe, runs about 4 hours at high speed, much longer at low speed.

All Electric Lawn Tractor

I thought I would post some information about the TriVector electric lawn tractor. TriVector is a division of Accelerated Systems Inc. After discussing the concept of a modern electric lawn tractor with a few potential customers, ASI decided it was easier to build one than just talk about how it would work. This unit has a brushless hub motor in each rear wheel and a brushless shaft type motor on each of the two mower blades. We have software integrated into the system that allows for a very smooth electronic differential.

my electric boats

Hey folks. Well been awhile since I've been to or posted to the forum. Just busy with things you know. Anyway, those who recall who I am and my interests know that I have the XB600 scoot and also posted my electric kayak on here...that I fabricated to be electric. Well, I sold the kayak and moved on to my own version of the ELECTRIC Colorado Pontoon boat. Made for a trolling motor to clamp on the back I of course had to modify it to foot steering with a cable system and move the motor controls to the sitting area...and she works like a dream! But, hold on!

What to Do With My Lepton?

I have a 2001 Oxygen Lepton SLA model, bought unopened in 2002. I am the only person who has ever ridden the scooter, except for letting a woman ride it around the block in Eco mode, once. It has never glitched or thrown an error code, never broken down, never given me any trouble at all except for the mirror, which I didn't tighten properly at first. Eventually I got on both ends of the bolt and tightened it correctly. The scooter still runs fine, on the original batteries, so that tells you how I've treated it. It has 1668 miles on it, IIRC. It's got new gear oil in it.

Finding a 24v motor controller with reverse.

Hello.
I need to replace a 20 year old burnt out motor controller from a mobility scooter. I want to know the best place on line to purchase it from as I am in Ontario Canada and advise on which one would work for what I need?
The motor is a 4 brush, 22v/15 amp motor. It works fine on the bench and is reversible. I will be using 2-12v/31ah batteries. I am looking for a good, economical and simple controller that will give me variable speed and reverse.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Electric airplanes at Moffet Field due to the Green Flight Challenge

Electric airplanes are an idea that's come quite a ways from 2008 when I heard of the first one being flown at the Oshkosh fly-in air show. They're still in the small trainer aircraft phase but flying time is now up to 2.5 hours or so, and a 200 mile range. I just got home from Moffet Field where the Green Flight Challenge had a public showing today. I have a bunch of pictures etc ..

Electric powered one person pontoon boat

Well, many probably remember my post and pics of my electric powered kayak. Here's my latest project. Works like a dream and an inexpensive fun electric project. Boat costs about $400 and the finished project ran me another $200 including the $100 cost of the trolling motor.

The electric powered Colorado Pontoon Boat with foot steering and speed control at the fingertips!
