First Serious Addition to the US Large Scooter Market in Years?

Does anyone know anything about this? It's advertised performance is fairly impressive, and they are taking pre-orders, but it is still vaporware for now. The manufacturer/seller is "CSC Motorcycles", which is presumably a US outlet for a Chinese manufacturer. Chinese quality control has improved considerably from a decade ago so this does have potential:

V Moto 48 volt upgrade to 60 volt pack

Has anyone upgraded a stock 48 volt pack to a 60 volts in the VX-2 / V Moto scooter ? Can the controller work with higher pack voltage? The old 48 volt pack was both Lithium version and AGM the more common version and AGM can accept a higher voltage. I noticed that when trying to check balance of the individual modules / batteries going past the fifteen volt mark on my Schumacher battery charger. So taking that into consideration, can the DC-DC converter and controller accept 75 plus volt pack?

Erik Buell is back again with a new electric motorcycle

The following information was sent to me by a public relations hack promoting a new electric motorcycle.

They're trying to make it into a big deal, but the specs on the bike are underwhelming. With a sub-50hp motor, a "highway-capable top speed" means it'll barely reach 60-65 miles/hr. The 10 kWh battery pack is reasonably sized but will likely offer 60 miles of range, but they claim 150 miles range. How? It includes CCS Type 2 fast charging, which is not suitable for North America, so the distribution .. they don't say where it will be sold.

Best Moped in 2022? OR I want to buy your old Zapino?

Hi Folks,
A while ago, in a weak moment, I sold my modified Zapino, and now, I REALLY miss it. The new lines of e-bikes are exciting, but they are so easily raided for parts or stolen when left unattended.
What is out there that would qualify as a quality Moped? Needs to have a steering lock. Extra points for upgrade to higher MPH, "retro" styling, Lithium batteries.
OR, maybe someone has an old Zapino with dead batteries they'd like to sell?
Thanks for your thoughts,

V max, eMoto, VX-2

How do you replace a rear tire on a VX-2 or V max 4,000 Watt scooter.? My rim is damaged and I got a nail in the tubeless tire. I went to Dracut tire and they do not repair scooter tires. They sent me to eXtreme Toyz in Dracut to get it repaired. Well they too said they don't work on EV scooters. They said go to Boston to get it repaired and same thing. eXtreme Toyz did notice tire said tubeless and pointed out it has a tube in there. I bought the Scooter new from Tharo scooters in KY or Ohio some place when every one was having a bad time selling scooters.

End of the road.

I have decided to sell both of my vectix VX1.
I lost a battery pack in my conversion due to unknown discharge and I am not prepared to retrofit another battery.
I wish to thank everyone on the forum for tricks, techniques and help on the VX, The help and ideas really helped in the conversion.
If anyone is interested in either of the bikes, let me know. I will be getting pictures up and listing for sale as soon as I am able.

Thanks All,

Jerry

Adapters / New Products

Just thought I'd throw this on the list for EV~ers with 230 volt outlets / receptacles out side or even in their garage to charge Switched mode power supplies / chargers like VX-1 & VX-2 chargers. Zero included too. I ordered on eBay some of these adapters. {Universal to North American NEMA 6-20P US Electrical Plug Adapter}

VX-1 Stock Charger

Is there a way to slow down charging on an old 2007 VX-1? I feel charging at a 110 MPH is too fast. After an hour of charging, my Bat light is on. Always did that but I some what feel if a pack can be kept "cool", it will last longer. I only can compare it to model RC cars. When I charge an RC battery fast and furiously the packs live for a year. But the ones I charged on slow charger are still around after 5 years.
