Help with Currie Throttle connecting to Currie Controller
Submitted by bonet2 on Sat, 11/19/2011 - 14:06
I am trying to connect a Currie throttle to a Currie controller for an electric scooter. The throttle has 3 wires, red, green, yellow. The controller has 6 wires, red, yellow, green, blue, black, and purple. I was told that I could wire this 3 wire throttle to the 6 wire controller but I don't know what color of wires should be connected from the throttle to the controller. Can someone help? I need to get a scooter running right away for my grandkids. Thanks for any help offered. See photo

Re: Help with Currie Throttle connecting to Currie Controller
I am building an electric scooter with 2- 900 watt motors and I need to know if I use one throttle split to go to 2- controllers then going to each motor. Any help would really be appreciated . Maybe if someone could give a wiring illustration that would help. Thanks
Re: Help with Currie Throttle connecting to Currie Controller
In theory you should be able to wire a single throttle to inform two controllers of your intentions. You would have to connect the throttle normally to one controller, and only connect either the minus or the plus lead to the other controller, and of course the sensor out signal. Not all three. But that is only my (not entirely uneducated) guess...
