HI together,
beside my "main Vectrix" i have an VX-1 Li+ which i bought as "broken". Mainly the Batteries were deeply discharged, so i put in the batterie pack from my main vectrix. It works, but if i try to charge the mains fuse from my garge blows.
The Charger is a golden Runke charger.
Did anyone had this problem before and can give me a hint how to fix this?

These old chargers are quite heavy and so i just bought a variable DC supply. It's not that expensive and ther charge current naturally rolls off when close to top.
I'm afraid it's a blown charger and you will need a new one. However, I seem to remember that someone somewhere on this forum managed to get one repaired by an electronics whizz...
You can get new ones from vectrixspares.com but there are plenty of potential non-running donors out there...

I can assure you these EVPS gold chargers are a complete nightmare, we had plenty problems with them. After TC charger improvement, we have upgraded around 95 vectrix here in Barcelona. None of these TC chargers failed, to our experience, they're 100% reliable. However, if you still want one of these crap chargers, I still have a pair left in the workshop, send me PM or email.
Thanks, but meanwhile i've sold my main Vectrix and also this "spare part" Vectrix...
But in the Past (beside the one in this spar vectrix) i never had any problems with the runke charger. I reduced the power to 1000W and used my first Vectrix for about 6000kms and the second one for more than 11000kms without any charger problems... Of course the new TC Chargers re much better for sure but i think the runke is not as bad as some think.
