Anyone in Anchorage Alaska familiar with Ping Lifepo4 battery repair?

Greetings,

I have a Ping lifepo4 48v 20ah battery in need of an evaluation/repair. At the least I need assistance with replacing the bms and using my single cell charger to try and bring the cells into balance. I might possibly need to replace some cells if I'm not able to bring the individual cells up to voltage. I have the new bms and single cell charger on hand. I realize I only need to solder on the new bms but don't have any experience and don't want to risk ruining my battery.

Thanks in advance,

John

Re: Anyone in Anchorage Alaska familiar with Ping Lifepo4 ...

I'm not in Alaska and don't fix battery packs. I'll bet you can ship it to somebody reputable in the US.
There are various repairmen perhaps on this forum and on endless sphere.
Try to fully charge up pack with the bms disconnected. If it is the same voltage, then maybe it's the BMS.
I've read of people running their bikes with BMS disconnected. only problem is that eventually you get imbalanced cells if you don't reconnect bms.
