Melbourne EV Expo. Be there for a world record.

Plans are well underway for the 2nd Melbourne EV Expo. The first was successful with every type of electric vehicle from skateboards to an electric bus. All auto manufacturers' vehicles were represented from Blade Electric to Tesla Motors. From home brew built in the shed to professionals who specialise in electric vehicle conversions.

The comming EV Expo will be on Sunday 23rd February 2014. Registrations are ready for those who want to participate in 2014. Stallholders, Show and Shine, Test rides, A program of speakers in ajoining theatrette.
We have registered for a world record. The largest number of electric vehicles assembled in one place. At 2013 event we had over 100. To break the record we need over double that. Be there for a world record.

For Vectrix people there will be several conversions present.
1) Vectrix VX-1 converted to 70 Amp/Hr LiFePO4 2 years ago.

The scooter was converted in Melbourne using readily available components. It is not on V is for Voltage forum but is a well known standard in the Vectrix community of Australia.
2) Vectrix VX-1 converted to 90 Amp/Hr LiCo - NiMH hybrid battery design 2 1/2 years ago.

This scooter was developed and built in Melbourne using the same batteries as used in the then current Tesla Roadster plus Ni-MH balancing.
We have invited 2 more smaller conversions but they are not confirmed at this stage.
