telephone survey

I just got off the phone with a person doing a survey about electric scooters. They know I own a Vectrix. My responce to their questions was positive. I asked the interviewer if their survey involved alot of Vectrix owners. They said "yes". I asked if the responces were positive. They said "yes".

Someone paid to have this type of survey done. A future Vectrix buyer???

Re: telephone survey

I had the same from a person asking how I like the Vectrix and all I could say is glowing comments. I asked how they got my name and she didn't know. So far I haven't had any major problems and I haven't had it long enough to develop any problem. She said the same thing that it mainly involved Vectrix owners.
It might be to get electric scooters back in production of the caliber of VX-1 with every one giving good comments. I have never felt and EV with such smooth acceleration as the Vectrix. Not even my EV truck 144 volt S-10

Re: telephone survey

I got a call (US). It was sponsored by "Power-something" - I was the first respondent that didn't have a Vectrix. (I've got a X-Treme XB-600; a bit different). It didn't seem to be a push-poll, but there weren't any questions about battery chemistry or repair availability.

Re: telephone survey

I got the same call a few days ago. Since my Vectrix has been a perfect answer to all my needs for it, obviously all but one of my answers were extremely positive.

She asked me if my NEXT scooter purchase would be an electric scooter, and I simply answered the truth as I see it.....Depends on how long THIS one LASTS.

Based on my needs and usage, I calculated before purchasing this bike that if it lasted 10 years, it would have been a good value for the money. If it only lasts TWO years, I will not have LOST any more money than my wife did when she bought a new sports car from just the depreciation factor, but I still won't consider it a good investment if it craps out that quickly. Considering the THOUSANDS of dollars for replacement battery pack, controller or even charger, it will have to have a long service life for each of these components to be a viable mass market effort, and I've already read of way too many warranty replacements on chargers and batteries to have 10 year confidence in the bike. That being said, I continue to enjoy the heck out of mine every day that the weather and other logistics allows me to ride it (average 10 to 15 days per month.

Re: telephone survey

A gentleman from a firm called Power Products Marketing contacted me and asked if he could survey my previous customers (those who bough XM's from me when I was selling them). It might be the same folks also surveying VX owners.

BTW - I told him I'd ask my customers and give them the chance to opt in. Looks like the VX guys gave up owner info more readily...

Curious, did you receive this call before or after you purchased your Vectrix?
