This is my first post so forgive me if in the wrong place.
I have a few questions about Lith-ion prismatic cells.
I have a battery case that I can fit 6 cells, two stacks of three. The cells are 3.7volts 1000mah with a small PCB board. I need to know what the best way to combine them is.
From what I have been able to read on the net, if I combine 3 cells in parallel it will act like 1 cell. If I then take the two of the combined parallel cells and place those in series it will act like 2 cells. To charge them I would only need to get a PCB for two cells. Am I correct in my assumption?
The other option that I would like to look at is connecting them so that I can monitor each cell so that I can see what each cell is doing by using one of those fancy smart chargers. If I go this way what type of charging PCB would I need, and how am I going to combine them.
Is there any info on the web that I could find to help me, or are there any books that would help?
