Oh my.. there's a slew of electric motorcycle announcements going out. Must be some kinda show coming up.. anyway, Roehr originally announced this bike in January and claimed it would be in show-rooms by April and they would be at the TTXGP/Infineon race. That didn't happen. They've now announced the bike is now "ready to order," that orders will be filled on a first come first served basis, and might take 6 weeks from order.
There are three bikes - the entry level has a single AC motor, the top level has dual AC motors. In January it was said they're using the AC34 kit from High Performance Golf Carts and the specs look right for using that kit, however Roehr is not saying. They say it's 48 HP for one motor and 96 HP for two motors.
LiFePO4 cylindrical cell battery pack and continuous/max power ratings of 10C and 15C respective. This sounds like headway cells and indeed in January several articles said they were using Headway. Roehr's spec sheet doesn't give the cell maker name.
Entry level is 100 miles/hr top speed, the top level bike is 135 miles/hr top speed. They don't quote range however. I can't imagine the range is very much because the battery pack seems undersized with only 5.5 kwh in entry level bike and 7.7 kwh for the top end bike.
