I looked at some e-scooters today that boasted "48v 10ah batteries". They are sla and weigh more than 50 pounds for the set. I checked some sites online and found some 48v. LiFe battery packs with 30 or 40 ah that weigh less than this 10 ah pack.
Are there detailed posts and blogs out there about people who have tried doing conversions? Batteries are expensive - i would like to learn from other people's mistakes if possible.
Also, I am not committed to LiFe yet. Are there other technologies out there that would at least cut the weight in half of a 10 ah battery? Cheap is good.
I have read through more posts here and gathered more information on the topic. Still, because of the question and answer format the information is a little splotchy. Are there any detailed diy pages or reference pages that I can look at?
