Thanks to the advice of users and old V personal.
MY V IS ALIVE!!!!!
Yes, after buying another MC board from Vectrix Aust.
And fitting it, before I hooked the main supply I connected the ICL namely a 25w light globe. Problem…. it glowed and stayed on, so after much playing around turn on ignition and off again, the light globe died out enabling me to join the batteries.
(not enough current to charge capacitors) I figured.
Turning on the ignition did it.
Everything came ALIVE, Plugged in the charger and give it a top up.
Kicked up the stand and gingerly twisted the throttle……..???? backwards??
So waited for what was already in the mail, and 3 days overdue, a CAN/USB adapter.
It arrived today, and eagerly calibrated the motor encoder, next, took the little baby for a ride, mostly at 100kph…..yes feels OK , so back at home I put the previous version of MC software in (now I can turn off my lights again and no limiting my speed when nearing empty). Hopefully get a few extra klms from it...yes I know damaging my cell in the process.
Sure feels good scooting around the countryside with only the wind and road noise
(I have virtually no whine in my wheel, due to small modifications)
I am almost a electronics engineer after that episode. So bike BRING IT ON, nothing I cant fix, unless I go broke trying!
Happy riding all Peter

Same question for eyeinthesky, how have you improved the whine noise, pleaaaase ?
May be you could open a new subject to not pollute this one ?
Jean-François
we hear people wining about the whine so lets all sop wining and gt em fixed .???
how.kev
I would be interested in where you got the can bus/usb adapter and software to calibrate the encoder. My VX1 is coming up to the end of its warranty so I am looking to start doing my own maintenance on the bike.
