This is an EVTAMERICA UPDATE for THE Z-20 WAITING LIST CLUB.
The Z-20 is still set to make its debut in the US market in the year 2007. Our timeline has been changed and our projected date of delivery has had to be rescheduled to July-August. Based on our new timeline we will therefore be asking for deposits in June 2007.
Can anyone give an educated guess of how long the motor will likely last in the Z-20? I am currently on the waiting list. I would love to get 45mph speed, but worry about the brushed motor. I don't want to drop two and half grand and only get a few to several thousand miles before being stuck permanently or forced to buy a new motor at probably several hundred dollars. The company has been unresponsive when I have asked questions to this effect.

I received the following email from EVTAMERICA.
There are several videos of the new Z-20, the one of Carla show her removing her helmet, placing it in the large trunk and locking it, then getting on the Z-20 and going for a ride. Sort of backwards to me.
I got this from EVT regarding their Z-20. They seem to be doing a bang-up product development job. They show all the technical competence and atttention to detail that was so sorely lacking in that snake-oil gang behind the e-max. (advanced "silicone" batteries you wish!)
Unfortunately, with my investment sunk in two e-maxs, I may soon be withdrawing my waiting list spot ($1995 price) unless I get an interested party to "sublet" it to. Offers?
