Hello forum. I'm all of a sudden having a reduction in the top speed of my R-20. As of now, the top speed that the speedometer reads (the speedometer accuracy problem is not relevant) on flat surfaces is 28 MPH, down from 35+ that the speedometer showed on flat runs prior to now.

I am getting tired of not getting any responses from support [at] evtamerica.com when I want to order a part. Case in point: I need to order a dc/dc converter, and while I got an initial response a couple weeks ago, I have not been able to get in contact with anyone to order the simple part I need.
Does anyone know if we can bypass these clowns and order parts for these vehicles through someone else? I'm even willing to order from China if it's practical.

I have had my Z-30 for six months now and have had nothing but trouble! At this point I feel it is time to cut my losses. If there is any one in the Georgia area that would like this scooter let me know. In the first six months of having this scooter; the charger connection has fried. Had to replace it with a bigger connection plug. The center stand has broke at a weld and it had to be redone. Now the rear brake caliber is leaking fluid. I believe the piston seals are leaking inside the caliber.

Have you checked out the new EVT America website?
Look at the graphic on the main page. I love how they photoshopped their bikes onto a magazine picture of attractive young people.
What a great company. Attention to quality in every aspect of their business.

I've got a z20b. It has burned through 4 controllers. I suspect the problem is not with the poor quality controllers. It's the motor. Here's what Andy told me about the hub motor:
"You have a 940 RPM motor (one of the few that was sent with last year's production); this motor is much faster and much more powerful and this has been the problem. The 4th generation controller is made to run up to 200 amps and should do the trick."
My last controller did, in fact, last longer. But it fried the first time I tried to accelerate up a hill.

Anyone know where, preferably online, I can get a chrome wire basket for behind the seat on an R-20? I never liked the baskets that EVT America had. Thanks.

Hi. I just received a payment reminder from EVT America. They are asking me to pay for shipment of a warranty part.
I'd swear this is new. They didn't have this policy before, did they? It's on their web site now. But I don't think it was there before.
Has anyone else paid for shipping for their parts?

I had to drive my R30 a good distance in light rain recently. Now the rear suspension has developed a very loud squeak! I've tried spraying WD40 up and down the springs and on the bolts attaching them to the frame, but this has no effect. (I didn't take off the body.) Any suggestions?

Has anyone encountered this with their R30 or Z30? I just got a new R30 and on my first relatively long ride, the circuit breaker automatically switched off several times. This is quite annoying and possibly dangerous since it leaves you immobile in the road for a minute.
