xb-502 runs great!

I just bought three used X-treme xb-502 e-bikes in two weeks.
The gals I got them for like them very much, but...

One of them doesn't respond when she turns the handle - sometimes.

What would make the power stop?

It only happens if the bike is stopped. When it gets going it keeps going. Retrying the twist grip and turning the key off and on doesn't seem to help. The glitch hasn't lasted for more that 15 seconds, but still ....

hi

I do not own that E-bike
but the design is the same as for mine

I had a problem when I first got it about a month

it seems the hall effects chip was not pulled back enough
so that it would be able to move around and the wire leads to it had broken

when I got the second throttle I made shire to pull chip tight
and have not had the problem since

this might fix the problem if not get anther throttle and do it with that
and that would stop it happening again

Thanks!

I'll start by taking the twist grip handle apart and looking at it.

your welcome

umm be careful taking it a part

from what I saw it was not a good desighen

it could have been made stronger and more metal as part of it

I was planing on making a better one
with the added option of cruse control for the longer rides

I even had the idea of building one that would control 2 or more motors

Since you have three, you can do A-B testing to find the suspect part. Swap one part at a time, and when the behavior changes, check to see what's been swapped. Voila! the bum part!

Thanks for the good idea ...

But I was also having trouble with my front brake. Consequently, the handle was loose and the brake switch turned off the motor.

I fixed the brake and the intermittent power problem went away when I adjusted the cable tension on the brake handle.

All is well ... xb-502 is on the go.
