EDTA announces action plan for electric vehicle adoption

The Electric Drive Transportation Association (EDTA) announced an "Action Plan" today of policy recommendations for electric vehicle adoption. They had some interesting things to say about why we need electrified vehicles. It had very little to do about climate or environmental issues, and more to do with national security and financial stability.

Charging Stations-ALERT!!

An electric vehicle charging station has recently been activated at 14th and "U" street, in northwest Washington, D.C. I have been told that the MINIMUM monetary charge to use this station is $3.00 ! If such is the case, it would mean that it is cheaper to drive my Ford Van, than charge my VECTRIX scooter! $3.00 worth of gasoline in the van is good for 22 miles, but a one hour charge is only good for 10 to 15 miles on the scooter!

A bike ban in Colorado?

Sorry, but much of the LA aread, I'd never ride a bicycle or a motorcycle. As with Colorado, the streets are mostly from before today's traffic.

Chastened by his fall, LA mayor peddles message favoring cyclists in nation's car capital
