Hello, I recently got my Achillies tendon cut, and recovery has been slow and not so fun, so i wanted to get a pedelec, the only thing around and in my price rance was a Bionx pl250 700c kit. well i ride a quetzal lwb thats got a 20" rear. so im putting the hub into a 20" rim. yay. now i NEED YOUR HELP to let me know what to do to the controller to let it know that its now on a 20" rim.
Manufactured in Quebec, Canada, The Bionx (pronounced by-on-ix) electric bike motor conversion kits are reliable, lightweight and offer a range of up to 60 miles to a charge. The standard Bionx system includes a control console, a battery and a wheel/motor. The control console includes a multi-functional odometer, four assistance levels, four generative settings as well as a battery charge indicator.
I need to correct the posting I made about the Bionx kit a few weeks BH (before hacker). It turns out that the maximum speed feature can be disabled. As a matter of fact I was doing it. I was just too unfamiliar with the kit to perceive the difference. I figured that with speed limitation turned off I could use the throttle to go faster than 20 mph. With the throttle alone I can just barely get the speed over 20 mph whether the speed limiter is on or not. This makes sense given the size of the motor and the battery characteristics.
