Best software for Runke charger?

I hope shortly to be installing a really good NMH battery pack in my Vectrix. It has the gold Runke charger. I understand the Lairds software doesn't work with the Runke. So what version of the software would be best for longevity of the batteries?
Thanks
Simon

Re: Best software for Runke charger?

I have been on this forum for nearly 2 years, and just dropped 18 leaf batteries into my '07 VX-1. I too have many question regarding the charger software, whether or not to go with 19 batteries, what to change, etc. The forum doesn't let me post a new thread to ask, so I hope you don't mind me bumping up your post, maybe we can both get some answers. :-)

Tom, go 19 cells.

Do you have a silver (ESD) or Gold charger (Runke)?

Re: Best software for Runke charger?

ok, roughtly explained, two ways:

1- Our customer's choice: official vectrix conversion. Full firmware integration, plug and ride, no worries. You need to replace charger with tc (3300w), rewire canbus, and install vectrix bms and pcb adapters. Firmware installed by vectrix or official dealer.

2- My choice for my personal vectrix, a prototype: you can use independent BMS, battery checker or just no BMS. You can use specific The laird firmwares. The vectrix works, but you'll need to understand deeply how the battery works, its safe limits, or you'll destroy the battery, or even catch a nice fire on these cells.
