Interesting, nuanced analysis. Briefly,
Bicycle ---> e-bike = bad
Car ---> e-bike = good
That and the amazing lead waste cited. It just can't be right, can it? 40% material loss in manufacturing?

Wasn't there a car company in the US who stated they had almost no waste? Everything was used or recycled somehow.
